CSC recruitment process:2012-2013

It totally consists of 5 rounds. The process will surely end within a day.
  1.  Written aptitude test
  2.   Written technical round
  3.  Communication round
  4.  Technical interview
  5.  HR round
The first round was quite a simple one since they usually ask from previous year papers. Everyone can easily get through this round if u practice the previous yr papers. But please be confident in ur aptitude coz the problems will b simple.  There ll totally 40 questions for 40 mins. The cut off was near 20-30. I GOT THE SAME PREVIOUS YEAR PAPER. The questions included venn diag prob,geometry,comprehension,synonyms,arrangement problems .

The second round was bit difficult. They did not ask me the same previous papers but few question were repeated(nearly 10). This round s difficult coz they check the technical skills in all areas like networks, os, data structures, c, c++, microprocessor, gates related questions.The questions ll b tricky. Totally 75 questions to be answered in 40 mins. The cut off ll be less oly for me it was 30-40.

At the end of this round, behind the answer scripts u ll b asked to write an 1 page essay. 4 topics ll b given and u hav to pick one.This ll b assessed in the communicartion round.

Next is the communication round. This round ll either be a GD or JAM(just a min). For me it was JAM. They asked us to talk about ourselves(tell me abo urself) but it should not include ur resume details. They expect something new. Tell abo ur goals,hobbies,aim, achievements in ur life etc. This s a rejection round coz most of them got rejected in this round.My batch consisted of 12 but oly I got thro this round and directly entered nxt round. 

Three other member were asked to attend telephonic interview where communication ll b checked by someone thro phone. FLUENCY is the imp key in this round. Talk boldly and confidently and be loud. Don’t rush while speaking. Use some catchy words to impress them. While u speak they assess the essay which u wrote in previous round. Remember people got rejected due to grammatical errors they made in the essay.

Next is the technical interview. People in csc are vry jovial and they ll make us confortable to answer. They check our skills in al areas.

The questions asked for me was:
  1.   Tell me abo urselves.
  2.   How flexible are u? justify.
  3.   What s ur strength?
  4.   What is data structure? Types?
  5.   What is circular queue? Give example.
  6.   Explain dijkstra algorithm?
  7.   What is a latch?
  8.  What is a chip?
  9.  What are the c programs which u know? 
  10. What ll u do wen ur monitor light goes off?
  11. What is latest windows version?
  12. What is the latest technology news?
  13. What is ping and trace route?
  14. What is dead lock?
  15. What is DBMS?
  16. What is RDBMS?

The interview lasted for nearly an hour. They are generally very friendly so be confident while u answer. They oly checked my confidence even though I dint answer many questions.
Eventhough my areas of interest is data structures they covered many areas. Few of  my friends had their interview oly for 10 mins. They check oly confidence.

Final round is the HR round whish s a very easy one. They asked simple questions like
  1.       Tell me abo urself
  2.       Y csc?
  3.       What do u like the most in csc?
  4.       Will  u work in shifts? Ready to relocate?
  5.       Are u ready to sign the service agreement?

THE MOST INTERESTING THING IN CSC IS THAT V LL GET THE EACH ROUND RESULTS WITHIN 15-20 MINS. NO NEED OF ANY WAITING LIKE ANYOTHER COMPANY. COMMUNICATION ROUND RESULT LL BE GIVEN WITHIN 2 MINS.
FLUENCY IS IMPORTANT FOR THIS COMPANY.BE FRIENDLY WITH THEM. HAVE A SMILE WHILE U TALK. DON’T BE NERVOUS.
